Smyshlyaev and McPhie the best in Suomu on Sunday
FIS Freestyle Europa Cup continued in Suomu with the second mogul competition. Snowfall during the previous night made the course softer and a bit easier than yesterday.
Russians were hard on Sunday as well. Alexandr Smyshlyaev became a double winner when ended first today as yesterday. Denis Dolgodvorov collected same points as third Bryon Wilson (USA) but Russian won the tie-break. Bryon showed awesome jumps but lose a bit in techniques.
Heather McPhie won ladies race
Canadiens skied well even today but Heather McPhie from USA was eagered to ski when she got all her luggage and skis. US Ski Team members needed to wait their equipment several days due to strike in the Helsinki airport. McPhie collected huge points and won the race over 1,5 points. Kristi Richards was second and Chloe Dufour-Lapointe, both from Canada.
Freestyle Premiere week continues with trainings in Suomu. The first official trainings for World Cup will be organised on Thursday. On Saturday the 12th of December FIS Freestyle Ski World Cup Mogul Opening will take place.
