World Cup Levi race weekend successful with high standard

FIS Chief Race Director World Cup Men Markus Waldner was again really satisfied with World Cup Levi.

The Alpine Ski World Cup slalom season was opened at Levi on Sunday. After the first run last year’s winner Marcel Hirscher, who named his reindeer Ferdinand, was leading the race 0.06 seconds ahead Norwegian Henrik Kristoffersen.

Tina Maze named her prize reindeer Victor

Levi Black slope was in as excellent shape as the athletes had praised beforehand in the World Cup slalom opening race. The winner on Saturday was Slovenian Tina Maze, who was already in the lead after the first run. Frida Hansdotter from Sweden was second 0.34 seconds behind. Austrian Kathrin Zettel took the third place.
